Why Work at Bold Bite Orthodontics?

All positions at Bold Bite Orthodontics are currently closed. The practice archives every submission received and contacts candidates directly when a role opens. Qualified applicants are encouraged to submit for the archive file rather than wait for a public listing — the archive is where most Bold Bite hires actually start.

Bold Bite Orthodontics is a doctor-owned boutique practice in Jacksonville, founded by Dr. Martin Greenberg and Dr. Trang Cao in March 2023. The team is intentionally small, the culture is built around the Golden Rule, and every clinical decision runs through the doctors themselves. When a position opens at Bold Bite, it opens rarely — and the practice fills it carefully.

A Tight Team, Not a Chain

Bold Bite is privately owned by Dr. Martin Greenberg and Dr. Trang Cao — not part of a corporate group, not beholden to a regional manager. Decisions about scheduling, clinical standards, and patient care are made in the office, usually the same day. New hires work alongside the doctors every shift.

Modern Technology Workflows

The clinical floor runs on iTero and Allied Star digital intraoral scanning, Vatech Green CT 3D imaging, the Grin Scope remote-monitoring app, and in-house 3D printing for retainers, appliances, and custom parts. Team members trained elsewhere typically say the Bold Bite workflow is the most digitally integrated they have worked inside.

Room to Grow

Because the practice is small and founder-led, roles expand as the team member does. Clinical assistants cross-train on scanning, 3D printing, and treatment coordination. Front-office team members sit in on case presentations. Ambition is noticed here in a way it cannot be at a 40-chair corporate office.

Why Bold Bite, Not a Chain

Bold Bite Orthodontics exists because Dr. Martin Greenberg and Dr. Trang Cao built the office they wanted to work inside. There is no corporate parent company, no regional manager setting production targets, and no rotation between three locations on a schedule the team did not choose.

Team members work directly with the two owner-orthodontists every clinical day. The doctors designed the office, selected the iTero scanners, the Vatech CBCT, the in-house 3D printer, and the Grin Scope remote-monitoring platform. They built the workflow, they hire the team themselves, and they sit in on every case presentation. That means a team member’s ideas get heard and acted on the same week, not filed up a corporate ladder for next quarter’s review.

The practice is intentionally small. It is also the only office most team members have ever worked at where the owners run the Golden Rule as a literal hiring filter. Bold Bite hires slowly because turnover is low, because team chemistry is load-bearing, and because every patient who walks in deserves the same warmth from every person they meet.

About the Roles at Bold Bite

Bold Bite is a small, tight team. Every role shares the front desk, the sterilization room, and the clinical floor with the doctors. These short descriptions explain what each position actually does at Bold Bite — not a generic job-board listing.

Treatment Coordinator

The first person a new patient talks to after a consultation. Translates the doctor's treatment plan into a clear fee estimate, insurance breakdown, and financing path, and owns the warm handoff into active treatment.

Clinical Assistant

Chairside for every visit — seating patients, taking iTero and Allied Star scans, assisting with bonding and adjustments, and cross-training on the 3D printing workflow for retainers and custom bands.

Orthodontic Assistant (EFDA/EFODA)

Florida expanded-function-certified clinical assistant who bonds brackets, places and removes wires, seats appliances, and troubleshoots breakages under doctor supervision.

Sterilization Technician

Owns the sterilization room end-to-end — instrument reprocessing, autoclave logs, OSHA documentation, and treatment-area turnover between patients.

Front Desk / Scheduling Coordinator

The voice of Bold Bite on the phone and the first face in the lobby. Schedules consultations and recalls, manages the daily template, verifies dental insurance.

Insurance Coordinator

Handles benefit verification, pre-authorizations, claim submissions, and reconciliation for every active case.

Marketing Coordinator

Owns the Bold Bite brand outside the office walls — social content, Google Business posts, referring-doctor outreach, community events, patient-review follow-up.

Current Openings

Every role listed below is currently closed to active hiring. Bold Bite maintains an archival file and reviews it first when a position opens — so qualified candidates are encouraged to submit now. Strong matches are often invited for an introductory conversation before a role is publicly posted.

How Bold Bite Hires

When a seat opens at Bold Bite, the archive is the first place the doctors look. The hiring process is intentionally unhurried: one conversation with the coordinator or manager for the role, one working interview on the clinical floor or at the front desk, and a final sit-down with Dr. Greenberg and Dr. Cao. The practice hires slowly because turnover is low and team chemistry is load-bearing.

What Bold Bite Looks For

  • Warmth with patients. The practice markets itself on being the best part of a patient's day, and that is only true if the person who greets the patient means it.
  • Curiosity about technology. 3D printers, intraoral scanners, CBCT software, and remote-monitoring apps change every year. The best fit is someone who finds that energizing rather than exhausting.
  • Honesty over polish. Bold Bite's core values are respect, integrity, honesty, fun, and the Golden Rule. Team members who can say “I do not know — let me find out” do better here than those who fake certainty.
  • Team-first instincts. Because the practice is small, one disengaged team member is felt everywhere. References are checked carefully for this.
  • Comfort with kids and parents. The practice tagline — “Bold Bite treats every child like one of their own” — is taken literally. Team members who genuinely enjoy interacting with families thrive at Bold Bite.

Submit for Future Openings

Bold Bite reviews every submission that enters the archive, regardless of whether a position is currently posted. When a role opens, the doctors start with that archive before advertising externally — so submitting now genuinely improves the odds of being contacted.

To submit, email appointments@myboldbite.com with the subject line Career Application — Archive and include:

  • The position(s) of interest
  • A current resume (PDF preferred)
  • A short paragraph on what drew you to Bold Bite specifically

  • Earliest date available to start, if hired
